Spray Wash Resist-Rainbow Fish…MOVE OVER!! lol
This is a bday card I made for a little friend of ours who is turning 4! I think she’ll love the shimmery fish swimming around on her card…lol
Stamps used: Something Fishy This Way Comes, Bubbles, and Birthday Balloons, (quote inside)
Paper: Club Scrap
Technique: Spray Wash Resist, from Midwest Stampers Thursday Challenge.
Basically, you stamp your bg images (the seaweed, and coral) using versamark. Emboss them with clear embossing powder. Spray your color wash sprays all over the paper. Let dry, then place a piece of copy paper over your background, and iron it with a very hot iron. This will melt the embossing powder and transfer it to the copy paper, leaving a nice resist in it’s place. (my paper is bright blue, and I sprayed it with green, and dark blue inks) I then used a fish die cut, stamped the image with Pallette ink (water-proof black ink) and colored in the fish with the penciled twinks technique.
Pop dotted the fish, and masked off various sayings from that set, to get the phrase: “Just swimming by to Fish You….”
I love decorating the insides of my cards as well, so I included it in my scan……enjoy!!
