Tutorial for Spray Starch Technique

This is a fun and simple technique that I saw in one of the rubber stamp magazines.

Supplies:

Spray starch

Pearl Ex Powders

VersaMark ink pad

Black cardstock cut in ¼ sheets

Small paint brush

Foam Brush

White or Foam White embossing powder

Heat Gun

Stamp

Container for rinsing foam brush

 

 

Shake can well and spray black cs so it’s foamy.  Drop Pex powder from small paintbrush.

Smooth and brush with foam brush till cs is completely covered.

Try brushing in different directions.

When cardstock is dry, ink stamp image with VersaMark and emboss with white or foam white embossing powder.

If using a silver background or one that is very light colored, black embossing powder may be substituted instead of white to make it “pop.”
