Mask It! Tip

June 13, 2008 By: Pamela Category: Other Art, Tips

Soooo, I’ve recently found out that the Zig Two Way pen is PERFECT for using on a mask!! (remember the vase mask tutorial?  OR Click here for helpful stamp terminology….)  If you cut out your mask (many of the ones I use don’t fit on a sticky note, so I use regular copy paper) they don’t stay put when you want to ink…if the area is large enough I use double sided removable tape…BUT..NO MORE!!

The thing about this pen, is that if you wait until the glue is completely dry, it’s removable (temporary bond)!! How perfect for use on the backs of my masks!! (Be sure to get the Chisel tip pen, and not the fine point one!)  Well, now that I’ve gone thru all my little baggies and made my masks sticky backed….I needed a way to store/ and find them…..guess what I created???

I took one of those cheap 4×6 type albums, covered it in paper, and use the pages in it to stick all my mats on!! I’m sorting them by theme, versus stamp sets….generally when I’m creating a landscape I want all my masks in one place..lol…anyhow…here are some pix of how it turned out!!

Here’s the 4×6 album before:

Here’s what it looks like after I used decoupage glue, and Basic Grey Papers to cover it up….stamps: BE Susan, Bliss, Foo Alpha, With A Flourish

Inside I just stick my cut out masks to the out side of the pages…..kool huh??
