I love tulips…they come in so many colors, and sizes!! They really brighten up a spring garden, don’t you think? I remember when I was a teen, we went to Keukenhof, in Holland during the tulip time…..man what a gorgeous site!! Just fields and fields of color!!  I often think of those flowers (and visiting the cheese factory-lol) during this time of year….I hope YOU have sunshine and spring flowers coming your way!!

Stamp sets used: Tip Toe Tulips ; Golden Daffodils (phrase and lady bug)       Inks: Memento-Black           Paper-plain white 110# paper from Office Max     Colors: Triart, Copics (see list and order of colors below picture)   Extras: narrow ribbon-Michael’s, ribbon charm-JoAnns Etc.

I kept this card Clean And Simple!! (CAS) I know..not my usual style, but I LOVE how the colors really pop!! (click for larger view)

Greenery:

G8-Triart-base color

YG 23-Copic-give some depth

YG 06-Copic-shading

YG 67-Copic-shading the darkest parts

G8-Triart to blend out the edges of the darker colors

Tulip 1:

Y11-TA (Triart)-base

Y9-TA-add depth

O12-TA-shading

R1-TA-add pops of color for the red tips

Y11-TA-blend out the edges

o12-TA-shading the darker areas

Tulip 2:

RV000-C (Copic)-base

R-12-TA-add depth

R7-TA-shading

Add white gel pen for highlites. ( I use Sakura gelly roll)

Allison calls this one  “Looking at Your Stamps in a Whole New Way”! She made a birthday card for one of her son’s friends with the daisy head…as her  four-year old daughter said, “It’s monsterific!”. GRIN

I LOVE these! they remind me of the monsters/aliens on Sesame Street….grin…..What you can create with imagination and googly eyes huh?? lol- TFTI!

A little about her:

Hi! I am Allison and you may know me from my blog Stampin’ When I Can. I have three children - Tristan, Charlotte and Avery. I started stamping in 2004 with some nudges from my sister-in-law (since I was not going to stamp…no, not me!). After making my own Christmas cards, and learning that one of my neighbours was a SU! demo, I was hooked and readily enabled! While I enjoyed making cards, it wasn’t until I started my blog that I was able to better my efforts through daily card-making. My blog has been a fabulous outlet for improving my skills, meeting people from around the world and getting exposed to so many different styles. In my spare time (ha!), I work as a technical writer for an explosives detection company…needless to say, stamping is a necessary diversion from the travails of manuals and housework!

as promised, the last piece of art using Fall flowers and Fall quotes by Leslie Miller….another gorgeous piece! I have to say, I love the versatility she has shown using these two sets!
