September 10, 2009 By: Pamela Category: Greetings

Please welcome the new design team for FireCracker Designs by Pamela. These gals will be sharing their artistic talents with you for the next 6 months!!

Listed in Alphabetical order please give a shout out to:

Michelle Bartnett michells-bio-pic

Hiya, I’m Michelle Bartnett and I live just outside St. Louis, Missouri, with my fabulous husband of 13 years and two very busy kids (daughter 11 and son 7).  I have always been interested in crafts but really got hooked on painting about 10 years ago (thus my alias “JustPaintingAround”).  And then came the stamp party invite in 2007 that changed everything!  The scenes I love to stamp are inspired by everything I see…a flower in my garden, a sunset, and even children’s cartoons!  I’m excited to be on the FireCracker Designs by Pamela team and can’t wait to get creating for you! My blog is: Just Painting Around

Tesa Broman

My name is Tesa and I’m a proud mother, loving wife and addicted scrapbooker and cardmaker. I live in Sweden and I work full time as a teacher and researcher in Economic History which is a dream job for me. I pretty much have my hands full doing things I love!

I’ve been paper crafting for two years now, and I love everything this hobby has brought into my life. Wonderful friends, so much creativity and pure joy among other things!    Here’s my blog if you want to see more!  Tesasscrap

Donna Moore donna-moore

Hi Ya’ll, I am originally from Texas but found my real home is here in the Piedmont area of NC.  I am married to a man who has managed to put up with me since 1965 (I was just a child when I married) what is that, 44 years! Yikes! I have two grown children, David and Wendy who live in CA and TN respectively. I have two very, very adorable grandsons, two dogs, four horses and a 15 acre farm to take care of. I don’t have an “outside” job at this point; not exactly sure how I could handle one if I did. I manage to keep pretty busy.
Crafting has always been a part of my life, when we were first married and solid broke, I made decoupage “anythings”, flower arrangements, wall hanging and etc, you get the picture.
I originally started scrapbooking when the first grandson was born five years ago. I figured my daughter in law wouldn’t have time, so being a dedicated grandmother this seemed the least I could do. My neighbor invited me to go with her to a church craft night (in 2005) and that’s where I was introduced to stamping, that was all it took for me to become hooked. I have been stamping since and grow to love it more and more everyday. For me, stamping is a way to share emotions that somehow words can’t convey. I make cards for one of the Ministry groups at church; this is right down my alley.
I feel extremely excited and fortunate to be on this Design Team! Firecracker Designs By Pamela are some of the greatest designs out there and I have drooled over them for quite awhile! Hooray, now I can play, play, play!! Thanks to Pamela and to all the past Design Team members for sharing their art and inspiration; this is my first stint as a DT member so I am looking forward to it with great energy and gratification! I can’t wait to meet and get to know the other DT members! What a blessing! You can find my blog at: My Artistic Release

shelly-schmidtShelly Schmidt

My name is Michaella (Mic-ka-la) but everyone knows me as Shelly. I live in Wheaton, Illinois in the West Suburbs of Chicago. I work part time as a Registered Nurse. I am married to Ray for 22 years. We have 3 children- twins Katie and Christopher  that are Juniors in college and Stephanie a Junior in High School. I am from a large Irish/German family-4 brothers and 2 sisters (My parents have 26 grandchildren!).
My Mother was so blessed with many talents- singing, cooking and is an incredible artist. (She currently teaches China Painting in Northern Ky).  I always followed her around and tried my hand at all of the artistic endeavors she engaged in.  I learned to sew, knit, crochet, but could not draw for the life of me.  When my twins were in Kindergarten, the teachers gave me hand stamped cards as a Thanks for classroom help, and the light bulb went on.  The drawing is done for you….. I immediately started searching on-line for visuals- but not too much was available at that time.  In 2004, I found Splitcoaststampers and Technique Junkies.  I am truly a Technique Junkie- most cards I create have some type of ‘Technique’ on them somewhere.   I love to create with ‘ink and paper’.
I have traveled for sewing vacations for many years through the Smocking Arts Guild of America and love sewing, smocking dresses for my girls when they were little and I enjoy embroidery/stumpwork.  You will see sewing on my cards on occasion- I use my machine more on cards than I do on garments these days………
I am excited for the challenge to stamp and create with the designs Pamela has created.
Stop by my blog and say Hi!  http://shellymc2.blogspot.com/

Melisa Waldorfmelisa

Hello ladies. My name is Melisa Waldorf and I’m from Jacksonville, FL. I am thrilled to have been selected for the FCD Design Team!! I look forward to creating projects with all Pamela’s wonderful images!  I am a 43 year old, married to Fred for 24 years, mom to Travis (21) and Nicole (19). I work part-time as a nurse.
I started scrapbooking 11 years or so ago. Hard to keep count now. I had dabbled in stamping Christmas cards over the last 5 years or so, and then moved into using Technique Tuesday stamps in my scrapbooking about 3 years ago. I started seriously rubber stamping 1 ½ years ago after taking a class at a local stamp store. I fell in love and started incorporating stamped images into cards, atc’s, home décor, and my scrapbooking. I discovered that using the stamped images and all the different techniques allowed a non-illustrator like myself, to feel like I was an artist. Isn’t if fun to pretend, hehe. I’m hooked. It’s taken over my life, and part of my house to store all my supplies.

This post will remain at the top for a while, please scroll down for newer postings. thanks

It’s time to search for a new design team…could you be one of the chosen artists? Do you have an artistic soul that is screaming for release?  Can you handle submitting 1 piece of art on a weekly basis? Do you have an active blog?? Do you participate  in yahoo groups, and/or SCS?

Do you LOVE FCD stamps, and want to shout it out to the whole world??  This DT is a 6 month commitment!!  If this sounds good to you, please read on!! (UPDATE: I’ve changed the commitment time to 6 months)

Here are the submission details:

**Date to submit art: July 15-Aug. 15.  Late entries will not be accepted.

**How to submit:

  1. Fill out the application form and email back to me at : admin at firecrackerdesignsbypamela dot com along with 5 samples (and ONLY 5) of your best (***previously unpublished) work. ANY type of stamp art is great, not just cards.  Please use FCD images if you have them!
  2. When sending in your pictures, you will need to label the file name:  YOURNAME-01, 02, etc.  Please keep the file size around 100K.
  3. Please give me details about your artwork and point out HOW you used stamps.  (Stamp credits are not needed.)  DO NOT WATERMARK your work. Voting is done by assigned numbers, and NOT artist names.
  4. If you have made the DT, you will receive a confirmation e-mail from me, sometime before the announcement of the new DT is posted on my blog, asking you to confirm to be on the FCD DT.  If I do not hear from you within a few days of my e-mail, accepting the position, I will have to choose someone else. I like to keep everything running smoothly, so if you receive the email asking you to be on the team, you’ll need to reply as quickly as you can!

**Requirements:

-  Your DT duties will last for 6 months.  Please DO NOT try out if you can’t make a solid commitment.

-  You are required to have a blog for posting your artwork and specials concerning the FCD Company.

-  You will be required to participate in the monthly company blog hops and you will need to submit at least one tutorial during your DT period.

- Once a month you will receive a 4×5 stamp set from me. You will need to use the stamps to create your weekly designs, you may combine sets for your creations…as long as what you use features FireCrackerDesignsbyPamela stamps…monthly art can be any type of art, not only cards. It’s fun to see how else we can showcase our love of stamps!  You will be able to use 1 of the 4 creations for the monthly blog hops to fulfill your commitments.

-I have a yahoo group dedicated to the Design Team. I discuss new stamp ideas, and often brainstorm with my team. You would be expected to join this group & participate in discussions with others as well as suggestions or ideas when asked.  You will need to upload your artwork in the group as well. You will be expected to sign a privacy oath, to keep new design and stamp ideas confidential until released.

The perks:

-You get a badge to display on your blog to show that you are apart of the FCD DT!!

-Every month you get a set of 4×5 stamps to design with. They are yours to keep.

-The art you create for submissions is also YOURS to keep
