The green piece that shows thru the holes is from the CS Poetic  kit. (I think)

TFL!

Hey, I’m curious. When I post the info on the piece, do you all want the links embedded to the stamp sets? or does it matter? Sometimes I put them in, and sometimes, I’m LAZY…..lol…..but if you want to be able to take a quick peek at the sets, I’ll always put the links in. What are your thoughts Hobson?

2 new cards

May 20, 2009 By: Pamela Category: Card Art, News

First one uses the new set: A Little Bird Told Me Papers: DCWV, and Club Scrap           Extras:Prima flowers, shimmerz, and in the middle-Flower Soft!! I used the larger ivy images to stamp the edges of the soft tan paper, and used the smaller ivy and morning glory images to add to the vines on the bird bath….

Remember when Twitter was just about the birds?

Remember when twitter was just about birds?

Second card uses a new set called: Scenic Byways This set was designed to create a middle ground in my scenery. Something else for the eye to look at while wondering my card path ways….lol  I used a fun and easy technique from the latest Technique Junkies newsletter called Dragged Madras. Gives it a neat look huh?

You Hoo!!!

September 28, 2008 By: Pamela Category: Card Art

Don’tcha just LOVE this owl?? I was inspired by the white snowy owl on Karyn Campbell’s blog, which I thought reminded me of Harry’s Hedwig..so I thought I’d give it a try myself………….

Stamp sets used: You Hoo, Create  A Scene, With a Flourish          Papers:Club Scrap, Xerox white cs, Halcraft card blanks            Inks: Color Box petal point Autumn (the yellow and the orange), Ranger Distress-Black Soot,  SU Whisper white, Color Box-Peacock, Stampabilities-Baby Blue, Creative Living-Saphire           Extras: White Gell Pen (American crafts)          Colors: WC pencil,      BIC marker for eyes

I used the edge of a make up wedge to drag a bit of color across the harvest moon. Moon was created by using a circle punch as a mask, and inking in the colors for the sky. Starting with the lightest colors, and using a circular motion…ending with the darker colors closer to the edge of the paper.

The owl is a die cut, stamped and colored. I finally got my replacement blades for my cutter, so I’ll be able to get the new die cuts made up, and posted this coming week!! yeah!!

Brushless Water Color

November 14, 2007 By: Pamela Category: Tutorials

Brushless Water Color 1-
Supplies: Water Color Paper (I used some cheap pad from Big Lots (R)
Inks of choice
Stamp-one that works with a water color look. (You wouldn’t want a stamp that only looks
good in solid colors)
Fine mist spray bottle
Heat Tool
Stamp your ink with colors of your choice. Use either a multi colored stamp pad, or just
using the corners of your ink pads, add lots of colors to your stamp. Now spray the inked
stamp several times with water, using a fine misting spray bottle. When the water sorta
pools on the stamp, you have enough. LOL Now stamp your image on your water color
paper, and heat immediately with your heat tool. Presto!! You get a gorgeous water
colored looking image!!
