Fab Friday’s Digi Designer Day!!

September 03, 2010 By: Pamela Category: Card Art, Digital Images

September is going to be a wonderful month for digital art!  We have not one, not two, but THREE digi guest artists to share this month!

with out further ado, in no particular order...please say hello to:

  • Anita Autore!

A little about her:

Anita is a wife and a mother to a 19 year old son and a 15 year old daughter. She’s always loved crafting in some form or another all her life. For

Hello! I'm Anita

the last 8 years, her hobby has been scrapbooking and in the last 2 years, she has turned her focus to card making, as a fun and quick way to craft.

She has been a Design Team member of Squigglefly and Pez A Doodle. She is currently a Design Team member for Paper Temptress , DigitalDeligths by Louby Loo & Create with TLC.

She often enjoys creating new cards for family as well as Operation Write Home and often spends the better part of the day figuring out new ways to make her cards better. Her blog is:http://cardsandcoffee.blogspot.com/

Anita used Count Your Blessings for her art this week. I just love all the gorgeous textures and colors she used in this fall creation!

AND

  • Cheryl Gorka!

A little about her:

Hi there! I'm Cheryl Gorka!

Hi there! I'm Cheryl Gorka!

Hi! I’m Cheryl.  I live in Wisconsin with my husband of almost 13 years and my 8-year old daughter.  We have 2 dogs and a parrot. I have a full time job working with numbers and spreadsheets all day so I love it when I have a chance to relax and craft.

Although I enjoy scrap booking and altering items, making cards remains my favorite.  I like the fact that you can complete a project relatively quickly and then easily share it or give it away.  I only started blogging last October and love the crafting community I have found there. Her blog is: http://shestamps.blogspot.com/

Cheryl used Mother’s Bouquet for her art this week. I really love the way she colored the flowers in this, they look like cut glass! Gorgeous!

AND

  • Juliet Arrighi!

A little about her:

Salutations!  I am Juliet Arrighi, and I live in Virginia, just South of Washington DC.  My husband and I are both former Navy air traffic

controllers, and we still can’t open our mouths without telling people what to do!

For our 15th wedding anniversary, my husband gave me a copy of Paint Shop Pro, and I quickly became addicted to digital art, but was disappointed that although my computer graphics were popular, nobody was particularly impressed with my printouts.  Then I discovered rubber stamping, and have been combining the two ever since.

I host an ATC swap for Technique Junkie, and maintain a fun blog called Ballpoint Bliss.  My other hobbies include web design, league bowling, and making jewelry.

Juliet used Nameste’ Octope‘ for her art this week.

She created this wonderful set of ATCs and then

used one of those on this card! I totally love the background she created. It’s as if all of the thoughts on her mind are floating off into space and putting her at rest….I think I need that! lol

card art-worlds apart

September 02, 2010 By: Pamela Category: Card Art, Digital Images, Other Art

here’s a card my youngest dd (16) did using the digi image: Friends

She made this for her close friend who’s gf was a German exchange student and has gone back to Germany.  She cut the image in half, and embossed a blue piece of cs which she then lightly covered in ultramarine shimmerz. This is to represent the ocean that now separates these two love birds…she wanted to encourage him to keep hanging in there, and keep going. He plans to study in Germany as an exchange student for his freshman year of college. (next year).  Aren’t they sweet?
