TWO new rubbah gals are joining the FCD team!!

Please leave a warm welcoming comment for Dana Seymour and Ceal Pritchett!!

A little about Dana:

As my blogger profile says, I’m a left-handed art & craft freak! I’ve been some sort of an artist since I was small, and always knew it would be a dana-seymour-fcd-bio-piclarge part of my life. I enjoy papercrafts, altered art, knitting, cooking, gardening, reading, and music. I fell into the stamping hobby by accident in 2000, when looking online for handmade greeting card ideas, and have never looked back! My card making style is pretty eclectic and I like to dabble in just about everything from vintage/shabby to clean and simple.
My husband and I are the proud parents of 2 adopted boys, 2 cats and 1 dog. We live in beautiful upstate New York. I am a PPQ Officer with the USDA and spend most of my workdays outside inspecting for insects, plant diseases, and other invasive species. I am proud and honored to be a DT member for Firecracker Designs by Pamela!

Wacky Wednesday and…Christmas in July!

July 06, 2010 By: Pamela Category: News, Sale Info

Yep, you read it right! Time to get started on those Christmas and Holiday cards!! Only 170 Days left til the big day!!

To get you going in the right direction, ALL of the Wacky Wednesday sets will be Christmas sets!!! AND there are select Christmas/Winter sets on sale ALL MONTH LONG on the sale page!!! (I’ll try to mix up the sale sets each week, add in  some new ones, remove some others. )Doesn’t that sound like fun?? woo hoooooo!!

Today’s featured set is: Christmas Ornaments 2 -4×5093

It will be marked at 50% off on my website  from midnight (ish)  Tuesday to midnight (ish) Wednesday!!

Here’s my card…

I had this idea to stamp the deer ornament in dark blue (Ranger Denim) and emboss it half in silver and half in gold. That worked out great! Then I was thinking how cool a red/green plaid color would look behind it. (I chose a glossy paper so the brayering would be smooth). It kinda came out like I intended…kinda…LOVE the white glow I got around the ornaments. (I masked them to brayer).

I’m not sure how I feel about the combined ideas I had…I have to say I think I got a little carried away with the green branches….lol……dd thinks it POPS…I think maybe it’s a hot mess….lol…what do you dear readers think???

Here’s a close up of the deer ornament, I really like the way the silver and gold turned out..

Hello! I'm Karli

Hello! I'm Karli

Karli Miranda
My  (short) Bio:
I’m Karli Miranda. By day, I’m disguised as a mild mannered 3rd grade teacher. But by night, after my 2 boys are off to bed, I get to play— with markers, stamps, & paper! I love all kinds of papercrafting, but especially love cardmaking & paper crafts (boxes, gifts,  etc). Thanks so much for allowing me to play with your fab images! I’m so excited to create with them!
My Blog: www.craftingwithclass.blogspot.com

Details about her creations:

I’ve used the Grand Ol Flag digi stamp. I created 2 projects for 4th of July (which is almost here!) The first is a little star wand and the second is a twirly bird/ helicopter.  (I’m using both of these for a kid craft hour for our family get together that I’ve been asked to do -to keep the kids busy for an hour :)  I’ll post all the details on my blog Friday. I’ve created  little tutorials for both and a template so those will be on my blog. If you have any questions please let me know. (Karli’s blog link is in her bio above)
