Shimmerz Tutorial #3-Backgrounds

Making a Background with Shimmerz

a tutorial by Vicki Parson, for FCD

Here are some materials that you will need for this fun variation using Shimmerz. You will need 2-3 colors of Shimmerz for this technique and plastic wrap. (You can also use sponges, old rags or any materials with texture.) Now let’s get started creating a fun, shimmering, background with them!!

All you do is lightly dip your plastic wrap into the Shimmerz and dab it onto your card stock. Make sure you pounce out all the bubbles and globs. Be sure to leave drying time for applying the next color(s).

Here’s the finished card I made using this background technique. The strawberries were colored in with Copic Markers, I then used Shimmerz for highlights and the fun new Choc-o-lat Shimmerz for the chocolate drips! Don’t they look scrumptious??
