Last two paint chip cards

October 18, 2009 By: Pamela Category: Card Art

FOR NOW>>>evil laugh…..

This first card uses all sorts of left over stickers..you know in the days when I was scrappin my art out, I had lots and lots of stickers….and consequently, I still have lots and lots of left over papers with 3 stickers here, 2 stickers there….what to do..what to do……………HERE’S what I did….

the entire background of this card is covered with stickers. I covered up the T’s and now I wonder if I should use a couple of more stickers and put them back on there? What do you all think? (I keep hearing Scooby Doo in my head, when I read it lol)

Stamp sets used: Pawsitively Frightful, EEEEK!

This last card, I want to say was created late at night, and seemed to take on a life of it’s own…it’s either the KOOLEST card ever….or a hot mess…lol..you tell me!

Stamp sets used: You Hooo(owl), Create a Scene (grasses), Little Things (mountains, top branches), Just Breathe (clouds), Swan Song (more grasses)                Extras: Jolees fall embellishments (it’s a raking leaves set-I just used the trees ), stickers-cat peeking out of center cut out, spider dropping down the left cut out;   Paint chips-owl is stamped on a clear tinted paint chip used for wood stains (VERY COOL), Brown paint chip with holes,   orange designer paper with gold and white embossing       Star dust glitter pen

I only have the first half of the pictorials, I got so wrapped up in what I was doing, I forgot to take any more photos!! lol

Lots of silver highliting, from the gel pen, doesn't really show here

Step 7 This is the last photo I took….at least you got to see all the stamping…

Mostly finished the stamping part, now to put the card together.

I added some color to the clouds, and some shimmerz, you can just make out some of the glitter star dust pen on the tree pic above

Embossed the grasses (used Palette ink, not staz-on for this)

Lots of silver highliting, from the gel pen, doesn't really show here

Finished the card by using dp and Metallic ink on the card base, layered the paint chip on the orange embossed paper, colored in the mountains with TriArt black marker, added color to the clouds with marker, added a spider sticker coming down from the tree on the left, to fill the hole there. Added a black cat (sticker) popping his head out of the center hole, allow some of the neat embossing on the orange paper to show thru the last hole.

So…what are your thougths??? KOOL CARD ? OR HOT MESS??? LOL

TFL!

They both are cool! I love how you used all the stickers for a BG. That’s a neat idea. I like how you used the paint chips. I’ve never seen a clear one. Might be fun to look for. I don’t think they’re odd at all, very neat!

I think both of these are WAAAAAY cool!! I love that you are including pictorials now, and also love that you got so engrossed you forgot to take the rest of the pics. LOL! That’s when you know you are totally in the groove of the art! :o)

I think COOL! The subtle effects add so much to this one and even though it went in all different directions of it’s own it all came together wonderfully! You make paint chips seem like the coolest thing ever to use on cards! ROFL
