Away in a manger
New digital image Away in a manger (here). Stamps sets used: Christmas phrases 1, and Snow Shepherds Inks: Memento Black, Adirondack-Stonewashed; Cat’s Eye-yellow citrus Coloring: TriArt markers Extras: Shimmerz-gold glimmer pop dots for star Papers: plain white 110# cs, Club Scrap (dark blue); A2 card blank from Halcraft
1. Print out the digital image on white cs. (I printed this one about 3.5″ wide, and put 4 on the page)
2. Color image with triart markers. (would it be helpful to know what colors I’m using?) Ink edges, mat with blue cs (color of royalty)
3. Stamp phrase on white cs, ink edges with yellow and mat leaving just the bottom portion unmatted, gives it a nice shadowy affect.
4. Stamp star image on white cs, emboss with black and silver ep. Cut out. (I know, I’ve got to get those die cuts done!) use yellow marker to color the star, add the left over bits of pop dots to the star, and the end portion. (see why I made that end part wide? lol)
5. Stamp the background phrases from Christmas phrases in the stone washed ink. I started at the bottom and lined up the edge of the stamp with the edge of the paper, and worked my way up. I decided I’d bring more focus on the image, if I just did one column.
Use one of the gorgeous phrases from the Christmas phrases for stamping INSIDE your cards too! I chose the Believe sentiment for this card.
