Stamp Cleaning Tips!!!
Stamp Cleaning Tips
Tip 1: I start with a cleaning pad with wet and dry sides. I use 1 cup of water and a couple or 3 drops of dish soap and about a
Tablespoon of glycerin. I put it in a spray bottle and shake it and spray the cleaning pad, (the side that has fibers like a very soft tooth
brush).Scrub the stamp so it gets into all the little corners and then dry it on the dry side. There is no oily or sticky residue. An old
HARD, blackened stamp was almost as good as new with a good cleaning using this system and cleaner.
Even my black inks comes off the stamps with a GOOD cleaning.

Tip 2: One of the best things I have learned recently is to use the baby foaming soap called Kandoo on the scrub pads. Squirt it on
and wash it off. I also wash my pads in the dishwasher occasionally. I did this and then used the Kandoo. It still removed more leftover
ink. It will even clean ink off your hands. I keep it by my kitchen sink now. Submitted by Kathie H
Tip 3: Use alcohol-free baby wipes to clean your stamps, then dry them on a clean stamp scrubbie. (this also removes the tiny fibers that can get in there from the baby wipe!)
Tip 4: Use a 50/50 solution of water and LA’s Totally Awesome(R) All purpose concentrated cleaner. (not the furniture one, the regular one). Put in a small spritzer bottle, and spray on stamps. Wipe clean on a paper towel, or cloth. Will remove Stay-On too!! and works great getting ink off your blocks, and fingers!! lol
Tip5: Use an old (dry) toothbrush to remove build up in deeply etched (cleaned) stamps. Also great at getting out bits of baby wipe, or paper towels…lol
